What is Aspire2d?

Aspire To Dental (Aspire2d) is Australia's first Front Desk dedicated platform for upskilling dental practice front desk coordinators of all levels of skill and experience.  Aspire2d was founded in 2019 by Renata Emilianowicz after many years as a qualified dental practice manager and consultant with her company, Fledlging Dental Services.

Renata has over 30 years of experience in Melbourne dental practices and brings decades of knowledge and skills to each module of the front desk course.

About Renata

Hi, I'm Renata Emilianowicz

Founder of Aspire2d

Long surname but also a long career in the dental industry!
(and if you're wondering...it's pronounced e-million-o-vitch)
I'm a dental front desk and customer service expert, qualified practice manager, living in beautiful Melbourne, Australia.
I love that I can help passionate and aspiring dental team members to upskill and grow!
And yes, I love teeth!
I also love to tell a story... here is my journey...

Dental beginnings and opportunities

Picture it, 1992 in a small suburban dental practice, a 17 year old trainee dental nurse starts her first day. Nervous and excited, I'm introduced into the world of dentistry by a husband and wife team who - from day one - told me this job would only last until I was qualified and then I'm out. Within a year I was qualified, promoted to senior nurse and asked to stay on to continue training nurses for another 2 years. It was a great beginning, many lessons learned in a safe and stable environment. I found my passion and my wings. From there, I moved on to bigger and better things! The next 17 years were full of massive personal and professional growth. The best years of my life!

Awesome team mates who became the dearest of friends and three employers who gave me the exact opportunities to develop my skills and talents. It was never easy though. The expectations were high and often unreasonable. Pushed to the limits of what was acceptable in a working environment, I was constantly weighing up the pros and the cons. The pros were truly amazing - continual encouragement to learn and to lead, access to the absolute best in dental training and courses and modern dental technology. I soaked it all up and took every opportunity that came my way. Senior nurse, head of infection control, hygiene department coordinator, ordering and stock control, community outreach, front desk, practice coordinator and practice manager. I did it all and loved it!

Focus on Front Desk Superstardom!

My passion and forté has always been Front Desk and training in exceptional customer service.
In 2023, Aspire2d's focus is on offering training modules for front desk to develop aspiring dental team members into the Ultimate Front Desk Superstar!
What do I think makes a superstar? You need the harmonious balance of many skills and attributes - competence, knowledge, assertiveness, empathy, genuine care, adaptability, service-oriented, task and goal focused, love for continual education and skills-building, and awesome communication skills ...just a few to get you started!
Translating experience into a training format has taken a few years to accomplish and I am thrilled to offer my comprehensive front desk workbooks. My workbooks cover all the important aspects for front desk from customer service and verbal skills to productive scheduling and appointment book management...and much more!
My signature course on the New Patient Experience is the ultimate course in customer service and verbal skills (among others). You will not find anything like it, I promise. I am so proud of this course because I know the protocol works first-hand. I did it for decades with great success!

Falling in love with practice management

The culmination of 17 years work, I became a qualified dental practice manager in 2009. My qualification meant I had the industry-based education that was endorsed by the ADA and could give me the knowledge and skills to fulfill the role's true responsibilities.

By 2011, I had successfully rebuilt two practices into profitable and productive businesses using all the training and experiences I had learned in the decades before whilst being employed as front desk and manager. Now I was being sought after to help fledgling practice owners develop their practices. So I made the big decision to embark on another journey...

I just had to share my experiences, skills and knowledge with people who were as passionate about growing their practices and people as I was. I left my 'job' and I started my own consulting business in 2012 while combining the responsibilities of family life with 2 young children.

Trained. Qualified. Continually learning.

"I have had the opportunity of participating in 3 leading practice management programs whilst in private practice. This has given me great insight and I have experienced first-hand how implementing the most effective systems and protocols into practices lifts the performance, the quality of the dentistry, the level of patient service and consequently the financial success of the practice."

Renata gained a Diploma of Practice Management from the University of New England, NSW in 2009 and has a Certificate in Dental Nursing from the ADA.
Renata has participated in numerous development and training programs and seminars including 3 leading practice management programs, Spear Education, Linda Miles, Angus Pryor, Peak Hygiene Performance, Dr Steven Rasner, Rosemary Bray, Jennifer De StGeorge, Dr Ken James, Bridgeworks DISC profiling and numerous clinical and infection control courses and seminars.

When life throws a spanner in the works...

I've always given it my all. I absolutely love dentistry and am obviously passionate about my career. I worked hard, I enjoyed many aspects of it especially where I was skilled. But life, as you know, likes to throw a spanner or two. So this is where I say to you, friend who has taken the time to read this far, when you are strong, you are sometimes given the hardest of paths. You may be struggling, challenged by circumstances but I am here to say, you can overcome.

Many clients and students know I am living with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. What that means is that I must be diligent with my well being so I can live. My purpose now is to heal so I can be a mother, a wife, a daughter and sister to my loving and supportive family. I thank everyone, especially my beautiful friends and supporters for showing me love and supporting my endeavours. If you need to reach out, I am here for you too. I Can And I Will.
